Faq

  • When will I receive my tickets?

You will receive the tickets at the meeting point.

  • What’s the color of the EcoArt flag?

We have a green flag with the EcoArt logo.

  • What’s the proper dress code for the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel?

The dress code primarily focuses on covering knees and shoulders for both men and women. For men, this means wearing long pants or trousers and a shirt that covers the shoulders. T-shirts, tank tops, and sleeveless shirts are not considered appropriate attire for entry. For women, it's recommended to wear dresses, skirts, or pants that cover the knees, and tops that have sleeves and cover the shoulders.

  • Do I need to use my ID or passport to enter the Vatican State?

It’s not required. In case you are travelling with some reduced (kids under 19 years old), then probably inside the museum they could ask for an ID of the reduced one.

  • Do you provide a pick up service?

We currently do not provide a pick-up service.

  • Can I cancel or amend my booking?

Yes, you can request as many changes of date or time as you like or a cancelation with a full refund up to just 24 hours before your travel date. After that, it’s impossibile to ask for refunds or amendments free of charge.

  • Can I add one person to my booking?

Yes, you can do it 24 hours before your travel date, if we have free spots, by contacting your provider's customer service or through the website that you initially used for the booking.

  • Can I bring food and drinks inside the museum?

Visitors are not allowed to bring food into the museum; however, they may bring only plastic water bottles.

  • Can I take photos in the museums?

Yes, you can take pictures in all the room without flash, except for the Sistine Chapel and the lobby where you won’t be allowed to take pictures.

  • Can I leave my belongings in the museum?

The museum provides a free luggage storage service that you can use to securely store your belongings.

  • There are toilettes inside the museums?

Of course, once inside the museum your guide will give you time to use the restrooms.

  • What if we bring a stroller with us?

There is no problem if you have a stroller. However, we advise against it due to the presence of numerous stairs throughout the Vatican complex. You are welcome to bring it with you if you prefer, however navigating the stairs with a stroller might be challenging and inconvenient.

  • Can we rent a wheelchair?

If there is a need to rent a wheelchair, you can do so free of charge within the Museums. However, in this case, it would no longer be possible to follow the guided tour since the recommended route for people with mobility issues differs from the path taken by guided group tours.

  • If I have a wheelchair or a scooter, can I enter the museums?

The Museums are accessible to visitors on mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs. However, due to space constraints, access or use may not be permitted in some museum areas. In such cases, the visitor will be invited to transfer to traditional wheelchairs, which are available for free rental at the entrance hall. The guided tours offered and organized by Vatican Museums, due to the standardization of the itineraries, are not open to visitors in wheelchairs.

  • Can I bring a personal pet inside the museum?

In accordance with Vatican rules, animals are generally not allowed, except for therapy animals or guide animals that possess the required certification, which must be displayed.

  • Do I need to pay for a ticket for my child?

Children under the age of 6, inclusive, are considered free, so you won't need to pay for a ticket for your child. However, all individuals under the age of 19 are considered as reduced fare, and the ticket should be purchased as a reduced fare for a child. Please note that documentation may be required for the latter.

  • In which cases do I have access to a free ticket?

Free admission is provided to all visitors with certified disabilities exceeding 74%. In the case of non-self-sufficiency, the complimentary entry is also extended to one accompanying person. This type of visit cannot be booked online; free entry tickets are issued, upon presentation of a disability certificate, at the Special Permits counters and/or Reception in the Museums' hall.

  • Where’s the ending point of the tour?

The tour usually ends in San Peter’s square, when the Basilica access is available. If you have purchesed the escorted entrance with the option “just ticket”, the visit ends with the Sistine Chapel and the exit door leads to the entrance.
